Honestly -- how come a Bluetooth fitness accessory doesn't work at the same time as Bluetooth headphones?
The heart rate record is extremely intermittent during the exercise if I have music on and only probably records heartrate 5% of the time. If I don't listen to music, then all good. Tried to reset, replace the battery, different headphones and all other voodoo - consistently inconsistent delivery. Would send back, but not sure I can - honestly tried to make it work so used for a month at least now. And it does work, but not with the phone app together with music.
Awful instructions and limited information. Wanted to find out if I could use this with just my watch and not have to take my iPhone out - could find absolutely nothing online to answer this, not even on wahoo’s own website. Took a punt and got it anyway and this point became redundant as it quickly became apparent this is NOT the 2020 model but the older one which meant I could use the tickr with my Apple Watch or my Powerbeats but not both. Immediate return as I value listening to my music on a run more than I value a more accurate HRM. Aside from this, the strap felt really uncomfortable when I tried the product on and it was very difficult to adjust the strap.
You want it to SWITCH ON, right? Well that is not this HRM! It has no on switch or way to make it start. You can put it on, tap it, shake it, take it off, put it on again and it will remain off. Then for no reason it will switch on.
You probably want it to CONNECT TO YOUR DEVICE. Well guess what! It DOES CONNECT! But it doesn't STAY connected. It will disconnect after about ten to fifteen seconds even with your device right beside it. Sometimes it will reconnect. You'll never know.
You might want it to MEASURE YOUR HEART RATE. Sorry, no. Even when it's connected it doesn't actually measure your heart rate and send it to your device. Whoops! I got it to measure my heart rate one time successfully, but I was sitting at my dining table trying to fix it rather than exercising, so that was totally useless.
But that's okay because it doesn't STAY SWITCHED ON. It switches off after a while of being disconnected.
So if you want a HRM which you can't switch on, which disconnects randomly, which doesn't measure your heart rate and which switches off for no reason, this piece of extremely expensive plastic is for you.
Received the item and it was not able to connect to my phone when other bluetooth devices have no problem connecting to my phone. Contacted customer support who replied the next working day and sent me a link to a troubleshooting page. I tried everything on the page but was still unsuccessful and asked for further help. It has been more than a week since then and have still yet to receive a reply. Am highly disappointed with the item and the customer service especially since I was so looking forward to using this v2 model.
Update: Wahoo sent a replacement device and it works fine. Hopefully this lasts.
Used it for about three activities and then I'd have trouble with it powering up. No lights flashing and so not found by Bluetooth device. Changed the battery thinking it had been sent with a dud but again, after about three uses it stopped being 'found' by my device. Again, no lights flashing on the unit. Tried disconnecting and re-connecting; tried waiting 10 mins (not good when you're about to go out), still nothing. Very disappointed. Item now returned.
I have had this item about 2 months and it has never been that reliable, it has got worse and worse with every use. I now have the Garmin HR Monitor and it is so much better than the wahoo. Pay the extra and get one that is actually reliable !!!
product was defective and couldn't sync to the wahoo app.. when i finally managed to sync to a different app, i couldn't get a single reading out of it despite spending hours. It would turn on after being strapped to the chest and then go off after exactly one minute. Every single time. Total waste of money and time
Its Useless, I had the original TICKR loved it worked perfectly for 3 years til the press studs packed in I ordered the 2020 version faulty out the box arranged a replacement, same faulty straight out of the box, sending both back and will look at another make as have lost faith in wahoo.
Dreadful. Absolutely awful heart rate monitor. The first one I got always cut out when I ride hard so I sent it back. The second one I got did exactly the same thing. Don’t buy this product is a shambles
