it looks good, all the way through, but the tuning is a nightmare when it comes to the high 8 strings, The tuning pegs look like they may be on a slant, but very very slight. Have contacted the seller, just it case it may be the strings. i have a few instruments from this seller, as they have excellent customer service, but this one instrument just has me stumped. And you need a tuner that is chromatic, and lots of patience. i will update when i here back from the seller, as I said, i have no problem buying instruments from them. Update for April 16. I have been trying to get this in tune since I got it, It looks great, there is no warpage etc., but upon taking a clearer inspection on all the tuning pegs, I found 9 of the 17 tuning pegs either angled in or out. Now whether this is the problem for not getting it into tune, I cannot say for sure as I do not know much about the lyre. But I do know that if it had come under my supervision as a former QA inspector, that this is not acceptable. 1 or 2 of 17 is bad enough, but 9 out of 17, , requires a full assemble recheck. This is the only issue I have had with Aklot products, the others have been dead on proper. So I have given the company a chance to respond
I have had my lyre harp for a few months now and it is one of the most beautiful instruments I have played. Aklot is a good brand. I actually ended up buying a Kalimba from Aklot as well because the quality of this lyre harp I bought was so good. I had originally bought a different brand of Kalimba and had to return it because the quality was bad. So when I bought my new one from Aklot I wasn't disappointed. Both instruments are perfect and very well made. Highly recommend!
