I, like many, stumbled across the original back in the day. I didn’t quite feel Skyrim, so I traded it and got this instead.
Fell in love with it back then, and even since I have gone back to revisit it, but being spoiled by next gen graphics I found it difficult to go back to.
With Re-Reckoning, THQ have pretty much taken the original and jazzed up the visuals and frame rates. Sure, it still has loading screens all over the place but the game is still just as fun as it ever was.
Difficulty looks to have been improved too, I recall being indestructible on the original, but I have found myself getting wiped here and there in this new version.
The world is great, the quests are many and the gear is cool. Story is good too, but you do get caught up on the hundreds of side quests that pop up, which I don’t mind.
Anyway, worth a look if you’re looking to sink 100+ hours into an action RPG
This re-master is not perfect, but at this price it is great. To get this great game and all of its DLC for this cheap on a more current platform is great. The graphics are slightly better, but the style doesn't really NEED to be remastered. I have this game on PS3, but I got stuck on something and never finished it. I am now farther in a few days than I ever got on that version. Anyway, this is a great buy.
The game is just a polished up (upressed) version of the same game that came out years ago on XBOX 360, PS3 and PC. The game also runs better but has one major glitch involving cutscenes (which can be easily avoided). It also has a planned expansion which is planned to come out early next year. If you love old school WRPGs, then this is a pretty good port of a pretty great and overlooked game.
Kingdoms of Amalur was an absolute amazing RPG when it was first released in 2012, now with this Re-reckoning Remaster a great game just got even better. Truly one of the more more pure enjoyable and relaxing RPGs I have ever played. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer as involved and with great combat and progression system, awesome art style--thanks to Todd Mcfarlane-- and a relaxing score with a decent enough story to keep you goin make for one amazing adventure that you could put hundreds of hours in to.
Also Included in this remaster is the 3 DLCs from the previous generation as well as a planned NEW DLC expansion for this version. If you never played this on the PS3 or 360, I highly recommend this version of the game.
And a thank you to Amazon, being able to nab this for 9.95$AUD brand new and next day shipping, amazing service indeed!
