I see all the great reviews and wonder if I did something wrong...I bought these for when I was "too small" for maternity pants but too bloated to button my normal jeans! These did the job of allowing me to wear my normal pants for much longer, but every time I moved around or got out of the car these would ride up and my pants would sag down. Then I had a super awkward gap and had to fix it quick which was so inconvenient when I was carrying things or doing errands. Never tried them at work due to COVID 19 closures but I would not have any confidence in them being good for all day. I tried them with grip up below my ribs as well as down around my pants and had the same problems regardless. I didn't return them though because they did help a lot when I had nothing else in the in-between phase.
I ordered based on the sizing chart but these are too big so they don't provide any support. I'm 28 weeks and ordered a large. I'm hoping they'll work later on but I really was looking for some tummy support for now and hoped these would be good for post partum too- I'll be having a c section (3rd one). I know they'll be way to big after baby is born :/ Order a size down. These have tons of stretch to them. they are really soft though.
I got the recommended size for me but one of them especially rolls like crazy. Within 15 minutes I’m wearing a little rolled up belt putting unwanted pressure on my waist rather than something that covers my pants. I have to constantly watch out and adjust. The other one works a little better but not perfectly. Perhaps sizing up could help. Pre pregnancy, I was a size small. These did still get few uses, and the fabric seems decent. I’m giving three stars because I don’t think they’re badly made. I can see how they could be useful and some women swear by them, but my high waisted jeans especially became useless so fast even with a belly band. My belly became really sensitive by 6 or 7 weeks, way before I was showing, and unzipped pants weren’t enough to keep me comfortable especially when seated. It sorta depends on where the pants zipper stops. I gave up pretty fast when these belly bands didn’t quite work for me, and I just bought/borrowed real maternity jeans. It was going to happen anyway, so why not get as many months of comfort out of them as possible. At 30 weeks, my thighs definitely can’t fit my pre pregnancy jeans even if I wanted to, so I was never going to be able wear them through the whole pregnancy anyway. While some of my shirts still *kinda* work, the maternity pants have been indispensable. I’ve exclusively worn maternity pants since week 10. I don’t think these bands were a necessary purchase overall. If I were to buy this kind of thing again for some reason though, I might try one of the nicer brands, and hopefully those wouldn’t roll so badly.
The material was comfortable without a doubt. It doesn't really provide any compression or support like I was looking for. It is long in the torso which I had liked. I hadn't tested it with clothing, but maybe could be used to hide the fact if you are wearing shorts/pants unbuttoned. Overall, not a bad product per say, but doesn't quite live up to what I was wanting so I returned it.
