I wear scrubs everyday for work and I've gotten to the point in my pregnancy where my normal scrub pants are becoming uncomfortable and have a tendency to roll/slide down and either cut into my lower abdomen and hips or almost fall down. I've gotten a couple pair of maternity scrub pants, but have days where I need to make my standard scrubs work. I researched a few options and decided to purchase this belly sleeve/band. It creates just the right amount of compression to provide support for my back and baby belly, and it creates a nice smooth surface so my pants fit much more comfortably and reduce that "cutting in" feeling. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the sleeve is a bit long, the lower grippy edge rides below my hips which can be somewhat uncomfortable when sitting. I'm 5'4" and do have a shorter torso, so it would likely sit well on someone with a longer waist.
I am a size 6 (5'5" and 142lb pre-pregnancy), so I purchased these in a medium. They are a little loose around my ribs but I am only in my second trimester and I will need the extra room later on! I was struggling with my work pants being a bit too restrictive and didnt want to keep changing sizes as my belly grows. I have been keeping them buttoned with a hairtie but the zipper kept coming down too far. Bought these and I am very satisfied. The silicone band stays put and holds my pants snugly in place. My only complaint is that my job is physical and there is little AC at the moment (its around 80 in here now), which leads me to say that this material does not breathe particularly well. For all other aspects thought I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend.
Overall the product is great. The material is soft and stretchy. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was they are a bit large. The elastic silicone part that keeps it up is a bit wide. However, if you fold it over in half it works great over your pants and does help to keep them up as well as hide that they are unbuttoned. Since it was a bit large for me yet, it may help with back support in the final trimester as I grow. I would recommend over the belly belt as they match anything.
So I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that this product is delivered through ups, not usps. So if you’re not home the first delivery attempt, they require you to pick it up at a facility. I just picked mine up tonight. It wreaks of a chemical odor, like others have said. Hoping that will dissipate once washed. It does fit true to sizing chart though. And is comfortable. For those that have asked, I believe the rubber grippy side goes on bottom near waist. I’m looking forward to using these if the odor comes out. (That said, I bought a similar product from Walmart that’s just as comfortable and offers a little more support for $6)
I am 18 weeks this week and the belly is already showing. I need little support in the belly because I am in that awkward phase where I am still using some of my pre-preg. clothes and that little bit of under belly is showing. This product helps with that and I also feel like my belly is not wobbling everywhere.
These are really soft and I like that they have a rubber grip to hold onto your pants. They do tend to slide down occasionally - but so do all maternity pants at this point. I'm currently 25 weeks and have been using them for a couple weeks. It's nice to be able to wear my normal pants - but they're not quite as smoothing as I would like so I continue to use a hair tie to hold my pants together.
Good value for the price. Works great. Though it says hand wash, ain't nobody got time for that. I've been washing mine in the washing machine and hanging to dry. They are holding up fine. After many wears/washes the fabric is pilling, but still doing the job.
Recieved the belly band on time as promised. The item felt soft will see how it fits when i try it on. So far the negative is the items smells really bad out of the package. Hopefully after being washed it goes away. Will update. 04/30/20 Loved this product. After being washed the smell went away. Helped me through out my pregnancy. Wasnt tight was very comfortable. I used the bands everyday.
Its soft and stays in place for me. I was hoping for a little more support I'm 32 weeks pregnant and the baby is super low and crushing ligaments. I almost ordered a large cuz that's the size leggings I wear but decided on a med and I still feel it's a little loose not by much though and the small prob would've been too small ! Altogether I'd say it's a good buy for the price and does give some support
I've been really happy with these, especially for the price. They give a little support, which really helps throughout the day. The only thing I don't like is that they seem like they're cut too loose around the top. I bought mediums bc they should have been the right size according to the size guide, but they were really loose around my rib cage, so I bought smalls. The smalls are also too loose, and my bra band size is 38, so I don't think it's just me.
