4.0 out of 5 starsInteresting can't wait for the next 2 books
Reviewed in Australia on 19 January 2021
My dad gave my kids this book for Christmas and I ended up reading it myself. I had to get used to it being a comic at first and it is very interesting. I can't wait for the next 2 books. As then it will all probably make a lot of sense.
It is a little strange that the writer portraits himself in the comic book. So you are reading a story that someone is telling. Which in my head is a bit of a twister until you get used to it. If it is targeted to kids it probably would be easier to read if the comic book is just reflecting the story. I hope this makes sense. But I enjoyed the book and am waiting for the next issues.

Well presented graphics and quite factually accurate but didn't engage me to the extent required to get me to read it through.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great way to learn history for the casual reader.

This form of introducing history ,although novel does have its advantages,it does make one think.as should all accounts of our past.
Great for younger readers, makes light work of a sometime weary subject.

Amazing representative of the original Sapiens, huge amount of work. I think it is a very easy go to read if you read Sapiens

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible imagery!

I absolutely LOVE this book. After rereading the first chapter in the original book several times over, I gave up because I wasn't absorbing the information. This "comic" version of the book is beyond amazing. Even my 10 year old loves it and I already know we will love it for years to come!

Haven't read the original book but this is shot through with pointed and not so subtle political commentary (American Democrat style woke-ism) which undermines the scientific explanations. Refusing to explore alternative explanations or theories because they are uncomfortable is a disservice to science. See if your local library has it. If you find it useful then go ahead and purchase a copy.

I returned the book partially read. Science is meant to be objective, not used for political purposes. That's when it becomes ideology.
