Excellent disque et remasterisation. Le second disque est moins intéressant. Des versions live auraient été plus intéressant. Une édition 2 CD sans le vinyle aurait été aussi bienvenue. Autrement, le livret et les photos sont très intéressants.
Impressive packaging and sound upgrade (kudos to Bruce Botnick), although a third disc could have added the ten outtakes from the 2006 "Perceptions" box set (including an alternate version of "The Spy"). Unlike the 50th Anniversary edition of "The Soft Parade," the iconic gatefold picture from the original vinyl album is missing. Also unlike "The Soft Parade" package, the contents are not printed conveniently printed on the back cover, replaced by a loose sheet. But these are minor complaints, merely observations. In addition to the strong music of one of the Doors' finest efforts, there's a insightful essay by rock journalist David Fricke. A definite classic from 1970!
This is a great set with great studio banter, love the album and the various stages of some classic songs finding their final production. Was a bit pricey because it comes with the vinyl which I have 2 copies of already, still in all it is great listening to the band enjoying themselves.
