To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Both of these books where good .... The backdrop to the story seems amazing, but the story itself was to surgery for my taste .... I believe that the description in this book needs to be updated. Thanks 👍🏻
I wanted to like this book but i couldn't. The plot left alot to be desired. The same details were repeated over and over again. After a while i found it boring and tedious to get through. This is not a book that you will read and remember 2 weeks later.
Characters were either beyond belief wonderful, caring and understanding, or a total villain. Concept of Trey "waiting a year" only to behave as he did later is laughable. The ongoing descriptions to set scenes were unnecessary and added little to the story. For example, the picnic area where Nick and Beth went fishing.. COME ON..WHO CARES that only half the picnic bench was shaded? Author took 100 words to describe something that should have taken 50; I kept waiting to determine if it were some kind of foreshadowing... NOPE. just word padding. Hard pass.
I don't like to do negative reviews, and actually books are such a personal preference and opinions are very subjective. These two just didn't resonate with me. I couldn't get immersed in the characters or the plots. Again, it's a very subjective thing and others may love this author's work. I would definitely read more of her work because the writing was well done.
