Kicking The Hornet's Nest Never Ends Well

John Lee's burning desire for answers has led him to kick over the galactic order earning him the title of Breaker Of The Galaxy. He has burnt friendships, betrayed allies, started wars and revolutions and is now on the run. Although he's driven his actions don't exactly make him a sympathetic or likeable character. It was great to see someone, the reporter finally call him out on his hypocrisy especially when he was ragging on the religious sect who are the flip side of the quester coin. The tension on his team really shows through as they travel in the forbidden zone. I'm glad we got a look at this part of the system. Plenty of action and we are starting to get answers and hints of what is behind the curtain. It ended on a cliffhanger which given John's actions was obviously coming. The payoff will be worth the wait. Not a entry level novel for the series.

John & his fellow rebels escape into the Forbidden zone to try and complete his quest and stay alive at the same time. Fighting, fighting, fleeing, and hiding seems to be the way to go whilst in the forbidden zone.
Good story & it’s all coming to a huge conclusion in the next/last book.

Definitely carries through on the elements i've enjoyed about the previous books. Even though it does leave off on a cliff hanger it tells a story of its own and sets up a finale that im looking forwards too

Another brilliant entry into the system apocalypse series. One which felt more visceral than the others. As John reaches the end of his quest the stakes are higher and the losses really hurt.

This is one of those just-before-the-end type books. It’s more setup than it’s own plot and the whole book is really about the journey to the end. And yet the author has done an amazing job of interesting fights and character interplay in a very tricky part of the entire story. It didn’t feel hollow like many part one pieces of work, very satisfying and complete.
