I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great characters, fantastic storyline with lots of action and drama. Spread out over 10 years, the plot has continuous twists, right up to the biggest surprise in the last book. Bad guys, evil guys, corrupt politicians and battles galorE. I wish there was more!

This is a long series in coverage over time as well as number of pages, yet in the end I didn't want it to end! The story is very dramatic, and highly engaging with multiple major characters who through great descriptive writing became almost real people to me. A classic "Good vs. Evil" story but with the sense that it could go either way very quickly. Good people die, and bad people seem invulnerable. This series shows the horror of armed conflict and that not everyone comes home at the end. Mr. Partlow has a great intuitive handle on this genre. Thank you, Rick, for a job " well done ! 💥👍💥

Só achei que em alguns momentos o autor podeira ter encurtado a história diminuindo a descrição da paisagem ou da situação em determinados momentos. Eu sei que esse detalhamento ajuda na ambientação, mas achei um pouco demais. Mas isso em nada altera a qualidade, que sem dúvida é excelente.

This was fresh with paced action, situational development, character building and tense action. Would like to come across this story a first time again. Could be arguably better than chaney.

This was a free Kindle book. I enjoyed the 3 book series that ended with no cliffhangers. Set in the future on a rebuilt high tech earth, other planets and in outer space 100+ years after a China vs Russia nuclear war had almost destroyed humanity. The characters varied and different ethnicities. Exiled Russians, power-hungry politicians and greedy corporations are the villans. All were personable and flawed; heros, villains and dupes. Men and women were equally good soldiers and space captains. I did skim through some of the many battle scenes. Destruction, war and death are not glamorized. If there are future books to the series, I would read them.
