I purchased these because it had been years since I have really played and I wanted to make sure I had an extra pair to use if I needed them. I plan on playing a lot more in the near future!!! These are a great value so for anyone who has a violin at home, please grab a set of these strings, don't give up on your dreams and make time for your gifts no matter what!!! These strings can be for beginner or professionally trained violinists!
Excellent quick service. I purchased these Irin V68 violin strings out of curiosity because of the inexpensive price and the 5 Star ratings. Having played and performed fiddle music for over 40 years I have tried many different strings from steel to perlon and back to steel. I am currently using Prim which are among the best in metal violin strings. However my newest 2014 violin made on this side of the Atlantic seems to prefer perlon or synthetic core although I could not resist trying these V68. They are a way too thin gauge for any of my instruments. Because of the price I will keep them as replacement strings when and if needed. But I am sorry, I cannot recommend them as a primary violin string set.
I recently put these strings on my violin and the E string broke upon tuning/tightening. I just reached out to the seller regarding this issue and they immediately responded. They were helpful and courteous! They shipped out a NEW SET of strings and all is well with my little Violin now :-) They were awesome, especially, Ms. Helen :-)
Basic steel strings, a bit long for 4/4 violin but installed and tuned easily enough. They are gong on a beginner violin so the sound all around is just OK and not solely the strings fault. I'm happy enough with them and highly recommend for any beginner or novice.
Replaced the decades-old strings on my second-hand violin after the G string snapped while tuning, and was amazed at the immediate improvement in sound quality. As a beginner, I don't have the most developed musical palette but can tell that the sound produced by these strings is superb for their cost. Very bright and full sounding, they were easy to put on and easily tuned. I definitely will buy these again when the time comes to replace strings again. My only gripe is that the E string didn't have the little rubber tube to place over the bridge to prevent damage that other string brands seem to have, but I just cut the one off of my old string and put it on and voila--no damage to the bridge so far!
After one day of putting them on my violin, allowing time to stretch, and playing my violin, I have found these strings to be the Best Strings I have ever used for fiddle style playing and for the price.
This doesn’t work for 1/2 size violin. Strings for each size of violin has various tensions. 1/2 size Violin’s strings’ tension is different from 3/4 or 4/4, therefore it’s can’t be “one size fits all”. When I installed it on my 1/2 violin and play the G string, bent too much and even bend the puck though it was just an open string. I had to return and buy the specific 1/2 Sized strings.
I’m not an expert about violin sound but the strings sound good to me. I bought these after an olddddd G broke when tuning so I just replaced everything and these strings do sound better than the old ones. Good price and even came with an extra E string :) plus the seller is very responsive and even sent me a message to let me know when my order left the warehouse. Happy with these!
